In 2004, IFA
- Approved $162 million in financing for 6 environmental projects -- for local government infrastructure improvements such as water, sewer and waste disposal.
Two of these projects, representing nearly 80% of the environmental financing, fund broad-based statewide programs -- like the Illinois EPA Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Funds -- that support towns and cities across Illinois.
- Approved $468 million in financing for 23 nonprofit projects -- for community and social service organizations ranging from parks to museums to low-income housing to support for the disabled.
- When completed, these projects will create 1402 new jobs and 1261 construction jobs in this sector.
